The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament participates in the meeting of the Standing Committee on International Peace and Security of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Doha.

Benghazi, The Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, "Abdul Hadi Al-Saghir," participated in the meeting of the Permanent Committee for International Peace and Security of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which was held today as part of the work of the General Assembly (146) of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

According to what Abdullah Blehaq, a spokesman for the House of Representatives, said, the meeting approved the agenda, which included approval of the summary records held by the committee in the previous session. The draft resolution and the explanatory memorandum prepared by the participants on cyberattacks and new threats to global security were also presented.

During the meeting, the second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives made a number of observations on the draft resolution, noting the issuance by the Libyan House of Representatives of Law No. 5 of 2022 regarding combating cybercrime.

The meeting witnessed the discussion of the preparatory work for the upcoming general assemblies, and during the meeting the office of the International Peace and Security Committee was elected.
