The President of the Republic Discusses With The Saudi Ambassador The Facilities Provided To Iraqi Pilgrims

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received, at the Baghdad Palace, the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President welcomed Ambassador Al-Shammari, and they discussed the relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, in addition to the Hajj season for the current year and the procedures and facilities provided to Iraqi pilgrims.

He stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples, praising the development in the historical relations between Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He pointed out the need for “coordination on issues of common interest, especially in consolidating security and stability and enhancing peace opportunities to serve the peoples of the region.”

The Saudi ambassador stressed the extent of the Kingdom’s keenness and desire to expand the horizons of joint cooperation with Iraq by maintaining communication between the two countries, in a way that achieves the supreme interests of the two brotherly peoples.
