The President of the Presidential Council and the President of Niger discuss by phone the issues of combating terrorism, illegal immigration, and securing the borders

Tripoli- The President of Niger, “Mohamed Bazoum”, has expressed his country’s support for the return of the Community of Sahel and Saharan States to its original headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, because the grouping represents an important regional power.

This came in a phone call between him and the President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi” today, Monday, during which they discussed the ancient bilateral relations between the two countries, and the need to strengthen them, in order to achieve the common reconciliation of the two friendly peoples, according to what was published by the media office of the President of the Presidential Council on his official page.

For his part, Al-Manfi described the return of the assembly’s headquarters to its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, as an important step to strengthen work within the framework of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, stressing that Libya will spare no effort in providing support for the revival of the assembly, its activation and overcoming all difficulties that hinder the performance of its tasks.

During the phone call, the two presidents discussed a number of security and military files, including combating terrorism and illegal immigration, securing borders, and preventing transnational crimes.

They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international developments and issues, according to what was published by the media office of the President of the Presidential Council.
