Tripoli, The Ministry of Oil and Gas announced the formation of a technical team to investigate the circumstances of the accident of the bridge crash linking the floating tank “Slouk” and the connection point and to refer the results to the concerned authorities.
The ministry expressed in a statement today, Saturday, its condolences to the families and relatives of those who went missing during the accident that occurred yesterday, Friday, in the “Al-Bouri” marine field, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of workers and the loss of others.
The ministry indicated that the floating tank “Slouk”, which is operated by Mellitah Oil and Gas Company, has been out of service since 2017, and it was sold at a tender as scrap.
