Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity engaged in discussions with the Austrian Embassy in Libya regarding the embassy’s return to operations in Tripoli, along with the initiation of a direct air route between the two nations.
According to Libyan News Agency, this dialogue occurred during a meeting involving the Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry, Abu Bakr Al-Tawil, Austrian Ambassador Barbara Grass, and the new attach© to the Austrian Ministry of Interior, Wolfgang Samer. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the meeting focused on bilateral relations and strategies to enhance them across various fields. The discussions aimed at elevating relations to a notable level in the near future, particularly concerning plans for a delegation from the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to visit Libya.
Additionally, both parties deliberated on cooperation in diplomatic training and explored several other topics beneficial to both countries.
