The Ministerial Committee for Elections Support and Implementation holds seminar on election monitoring experiences

Tripoli – The Ministerial Committee for Elections Support and Implementation organized today, in Tripoli, a seminar on the experiences of monitoring elections and lessons learned, in the presence of Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid al-Lafi, and the head of the High National Elections Commission, Imad al-Sayeh.

The seminar, which attended by members of the Ministerial Committee concerned with supporting elections, members of the Council of Youth Representatives, representatives of the Election Monitoring Organization and international organizations supporting the electoral process in Libya, will discuss the experiences of the elections file in Libya, benefit from the experiences implemented in the electoral process, and improve procedures that would speed up to reach the elections and ways to monitor them.

They will also discuss the experiences of local and international organizations regarding their participation in the elections over the past ten years, and the issue of international experience in monitoring electronic elections, and what are the drawbacks that must be noted when implementing elections in Libya.
