The Minister of Culture is discussing with the Maltese ambassador ways to support and develop cultural cooperation

Tripoli- The Minister of Culture of the Government of National Unity, Mabrouka Toghi, discussed with the Maltese Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and develop them in the cultural and artistic fields.

During a meeting held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, the two sides also discussed the cultural relations between the two sides and the importance of enhancing cultural exchange, building bridges and joint cultural relations, exchanging cultural delegations and holding artistic shows in the city of Tripoli to present Libya’s image to the world as a safe and stable country.

The two sides also discussed benefiting from the Maltese experiences in preserving heritage, and in the field of cinematography, as well as signing a cultural memorandum of understanding between the Libyan and Maltese ministries of culture.

During the meeting, Toghi emphasized the depth of what she described as the historical relations between Libya and Malta, and stressed the need to develop them in various forms of cultural and artistic creativity.

For his part, the Maltese ambassador stressed that the development of cultural relations is very important and that he has a serious desire to activate the cultural and artistic role between the two countries.
