Tripoli- The Libyan Embassy in London held a panel discussion entitled “Libya after 2011,” moderated by “Tim Eaton,” senior researcher for the Middle East and North Africa Program at Chatham House Research Center.

During this episode, the embassy hosted a number of postgraduate students at King’s University and the London School of Economics, according to what the embassy published on its official Facebook page.

Where the members of the embassy gave a comprehensive presentation on the sequence of events in Libya since 2011 and their background, as well as the latest developments, including efforts to reach the elections, and the role of the United Nations and the international community in this regard.

The effects of regional and international interference in the Libyan affairs and its repercussions on the security and economic conditions in the country were also discussed.

The panel discussion also reviewed the efforts made by the National Unity Government to lay the foundations for security and stability in the country, leading to elections.

The embassy members also answered the students’ questions and inquiries as many concepts about the situation in Libya were corrected.

In conclusion, the embassy team thanked the students for their communication and attendance and the importance of continuing communication and holding other meetings and dialogues in the future.
