The launch of the tactical search and rescue exercise for countries (5+5) defense carried out by the Air Force staff

Tripoli-Tactical training for research and rescue, for the countries of the initiative (5+5) defense carried out by the Air Force staff was launched this morning at the headquarters of the Mi’tiga Military Hospital in Tripoli,, as part of the multilateral activities and plans for 2022, during the work of the Moroccan presidency.

According to defense ministry sources, the exercise is aimed at contributing to the air force search and rescue and is called exercise B (Savior 22) from 23 to 26 this month in the city of Al- Qarapolli.

The air force participating in this exercise is represented by helicopters flying in coordination with the civil aviation, the National Safety Authority, as well as the military medicine body, logistical support and security agencies.

According to Defense Ministry sources, the exercise would be carried out in two phases, where the first phase will be a meeting, and the second phase will be the field exercise, which will start on May 25 in the area of Al-Qarapolli, where the search and rescue of the pilot who jumps from the plane would be carried out in the scene of the crash. The sources told Lana that the exercise is attended by the countries of (5+5) defense: Algeria, France, Italy, Malta, Spain and Tunisia, noting that Portugal and Mauritania could not participate for travel reasons.
