The Joint Ministerial Committee in Riyadh calls on the international community to impose sanctions on ‘Israel’

The Ministerial Committee assigned by the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic Summit regarding developments in the Gaza Strip stressed the need for the international community to impose effective sanctions on ‘Israel’, including stopping the export of weapons to it, in response to its violation of international law and international humanitarian law and the war crimes it commits in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

The Ministers also stressed, in a statement issued at the conclusion of their meetings today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, the necessity of activating international legal tools to hold Israeli officials accountable for these crimes, and the necessity of stopping settler terrorism and taking clear and firm stances against it.

The Ministers expressed their concern about the measures taken against peaceful demonstrators in Western countries to demand an end to the war in Gaza and the grave Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinians.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for intensifying joint Ar
ab and Islamic action to reach an immediate halt to ending the war on the Gaza Strip, ensuring the protection of civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law, and delivering sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip, in addition to continuing all efforts aimed at international recognition of the independent Palestinian state, in order to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people.

The attendees stressed the importance of taking the necessary steps to implement the two-state solution, and to recognize the State of Palestine on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Al-Quds as its capital, in accordance with the relevant international resolutions, stressing that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory, and their categorical rejection of any attempts to To displace the Palestinian people from their land, and any military operation in the Palestinian city of Rafah.
