The German ambassador renews his country’s support for any path leading to parliamentary and presidential elections

Tripoli– The President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi, discussed today, Wednesday, with the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Unmacht, developments in the political situation in Libya.

During his meeting with Al-Manfi in Tripoli, the German ambassador affirmed his country’s support for any path leading to parliamentary and presidential elections, praising the national reconciliation project and the continuous efforts to involve all parties in the political process, according to the media office of the Presidency Council.

For his part, Al-Manfi appreciated Germany’s role and its efforts to support the political process, stressing the importance of consensus among all parties to the political process, on a constitutional basis and consensual laws, to achieve the Libyans’ hopes of reaching transparent elections that ends all crises.
