First Deputy Chairman of the High Council of State, Masoud Obaid, today, Tuesday, discussed with the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Aydar Aganin, the latest developments in the political situation in Libya, ways to hold general elections as soon as possible, and the possibility of achieving optimal rapprochement between the Council of State and the House of Representatives. The media office of the State Council reported that the meeting, which was held at the Council's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in the fields of post and communications and facilitate procedures to strengthen service ties for the citizens of the two countries. The First Deputy - according to the office - appreciated the efforts made by all parties to achieve consensus between the two councils and find an agreed-upon road map among the Libyans that leads to realizing the will of the Libyan people to reach free and fair elections whose results are accepted by all.
