The exhumation of (11) unidentified bodies in the Giza Military District in the city of Sirt

Tripoli- The General Authority for Searching and Identification of Missing Persons announced today, Friday, the exhumation of (11) unidentified bodies in the Giza Military District.

In a statement, the authority said that a team from the mortuary search department headed today to the city of Sirt, specifically the Giza marine area, where it exhumed the unidentified bodies in coordination with the city’s partial prosecution.

The authority’s statement confirmed that the bodies were immediately transferred to Ibn-Sina Hospital in the city, where the competent teams of the authority began taking samples of bones to transport them to the authority’s laboratories, in coordination with the forensic medicine, and then the forensic burial procedures for the bodies took place.

The presidency of the authority valued all the efforts made by all the technical teams and assumed their responsibilities towards this file in this holy month, and also thanked the municipality of Sirt for their efforts to overcome all difficulties for the technical teams affiliated with the authority.
