The security forces arrested one of the largest drug dealers in Babylon and two others in Najaf.
A statement by the Directorate of Intelligence and Security stated, “the detachments of the Intelligence and Security Directorate of Babylon, affiliated to the same Directorate, were able to arrest one of the largest drug dealers in Babylon province, in possession of more than (16,000) narcotic pills, and the arrest came through an elaborate ambush that was carried out perfectly by these detachments.”
The statement added, “Two promoters and dealers of narcotic substances were arrested in the city of Najaf, with the possession of quantities of crystals and narcotic pills. Their statements were recorded primitively and judicially, and they were arrested in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) drugs of the Penal Code.”
