America’s ambassador and envoy to Libya, “Richard Norland,” expressed his confidence in the technical readiness of the High National Elections Commission to conduct the elections.
Ambassador “Norland” said in a tweet on Twitter after his meeting today, Thursday, with Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy “Leslie Ordman” Chairman of the Election Commission “Imad Al-Sayeh” (I appreciated meeting with Imad Al-Sayeh to discuss the importance of the success of the elections in Libya).
He added, “I am confident that the High National Elections Commission will be technically capable and ready to support the elections, once the Libyan leaders have agreed on an enforceable legal basis.”
