Tetteh Engages British Ambassador on International Support for Resolving Libyan Crisis

Tripoli: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Hannah Tetteh, held a meeting with British Ambassador Martin Longden in Tripoli. This meeting is part of her series of introductory engagements with Libyan parties and international community representatives.

According to Libyan News Agency, the mission released a statement on its Facebook account highlighting that the discussions focused on the significant role the international community plays in aiding various Libyan factions. The aim is to collaborate and find solutions to the ongoing political crisis, with a view towards organizing elections.

The mission further noted that Tetteh expressed appreciation for the United Kingdom’s consistent support. The UK’s involvement is seen as crucial in assisting the mission’s efforts to align with Libyan priorities.
