Tetteh Discusses Support for Resolving Libyan Crisis with British Ambassador

Tripoli: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Hannah Tetteh, held a meeting with the British Ambassador, Martin Longden, in Tripoli. This meeting is part of Tetteh’s introductory engagements with Libyan stakeholders and international community representatives.

According to Libyan News Agency, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya released a statement on its Facebook account detailing the discussions held during the meeting. The discussions focused on the international community’s role in aiding various Libyan parties to collaboratively address the ongoing political crisis and advance towards conducting elections.

The mission also conveyed that Tetteh acknowledged and appreciated the United Kingdom’s ongoing support for the United Nations mission in its efforts to prioritize the needs and aspirations of the Libyan people.
