Tripoli: Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hanna Tetteh, emphasized the necessity for international consensus to back a political process that is both Libyan-led and Libyan-owned. Tetteh’s remarks came during a reception held at the UN compound in Tripoli, where she was joined by her deputies, Stephanie Koury and Aeneas Chuma, along with representatives from the international community.
According to Libyan News Agency, Tetteh expressed her eagerness to collaborate closely with the international representatives present and highlighted the importance of their support in advancing UN efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in Libya. She underscored the critical role of international consensus in supporting the political process in Libya, which aims to be inclusive and representative of the Libyan people’s aspirations.
