Tunis: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Libya, Hannah Tetteh, briefed the Charg© d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Libya, Liu Jian, on the political process, with a focus on the work of the Advisory Committee.
According to Libyan News Agency, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) stated that during her meeting with Liu Jian in Tunis, Tetteh emphasized the continuation of consultations with Libyan, regional, and international parties with the aim of reaching a consensus that would advance the political process.
The mission added that the Charg© d’Affaires expressed China’s continued support for the mission and the Special Representative’s efforts to overcome the political impasse.
