Tripoli: The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli with Hanna Tetteh, the Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya. The meeting was also attended by the First and Second Vice-Presidents and the Rapporteur, Hassan Habib, Moussa Faraj, and Belkacem Dabriz.
According to Libyan News Agency, during the meeting, Tetteh presented the outlines of a roadmap she plans to submit in her upcoming briefing to the Security Council on August 21. The roadmap is designed to break the current political deadlock and promote dialogue among Libyan parties. The goal is to establish a legal and constitutional framework that will enable free and transparent elections, acceptable to all parties involved.
Takala confirmed the State Council’s dedication to supporting any dialogue process that contributes to stability and increases national participation. He emphasized the crucial role of Libyan ownership in the political process, aiming to guide the country towa
rd stability and prosperity.
