Syrian-Saudi agreement on resuming trade activities and economic cooperation

Syria and Saudi Arabia discussed cooperation in different fields, on the sidelines of their participation in Arab-Chinese Business Conference held in Riyadh.

That came during a meeting between Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Muhammad Abu al-Huda al-Lahham and the accompanying delegation and Chairman of Saudi Chambers Federation, Hassan Bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi.

The two sides agreed on re-activating the economic cooperation and resuming trade and investment activities and events, in conjunction with Syria’s openness to the Arab states, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Members of the Syrian delegation appreciated the Kingdom’s stances towards Syria and its people.

They hailed the great development the Kingdom is witnessing, expressing the desire of the Syrian business sector to enter the Saudi market and invest in various economic sectors.

Both sides underlined the necessity to exchange visits of trade delegations, increase the investment opportunities available in Saudi and Syria, and set up economic forums in a way that would boost the economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The 10th session of Arab-Chinese Businessmen Conference 2023 started in Riyadh on Monday under the slogan “Cooperation for Prosperity”
