Speaker of the House of Representatives receives a written message from the President of Liberia.


Tripoli: The Speaker of the House of Representatives, “Aguila Saleh”, received a written message from the Liberian President, “Joseph Nyuuma Boakai”, during his reception of Ambassador “Sheikh Mustafa Kwaate”, the Special Presidential Envoy.

The meeting was attended, according to the spokesman for the House of Representatives, by Abdullah Blihaq, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Libyan government assigned by the representatives. Abdul Hadi Al-Huwaij, Director of the African Department at the Ministry and Director of the Consular Affairs Office – Al-Quba.

The spokesman said that the message commends the important role played by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Council in preserving the unity of Libya and its effective role in stability and reconstruction and its efforts towards the unity of Libya and its people and leading the people to a prosperous future and lasting peace.

The Special Envoy of the President of Liberia expressed his country’s keenness to s
trengthen the partnership with Libya and support the national reconciliation efforts led by the House of Representatives and its Speaker, stressing Liberia’s support for the Libyan efforts to achieve stability and sustainable development, noting the importance of the visit made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, which he considered important in opening diplomatic horizons for communication between the two countries.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives extended an official invitation to the Liberian President to visit Libya during the coming period, according to the spokesman.
