Cairo, Speaker of Libyan Parliament Ageela Saleh has underscored importance of holding general elections on set time 24 Dec. 2021.
This came at a meeting Saleh had with US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland in Cairo, during which the two sides discussed situation in Libya, and local and international efforts to execute the roadmap, particularly the key role of the House of Representative at this juncture.
According to the House Communication Office, Norland underlined need for putting in place the constitutional basis, and approval of the budget which is sole competence of the House of Representatives.
