Sorman Policeman Killed in Armed Attack on Security Offices

Sorman: The Sorman Municipal Council has condemned an armed attack by an outlawed group on the Internal Security Office and the Passport Investigation building, which occurred early Wednesday morning. This violent incident resulted in the death of Assistant Officer Atef Ayyad al-Toumi, who was on duty guarding the building.

According to Libyan News Agency, the attack also led to the destruction of an intelligence vehicle, which was set ablaze in front of the Municipal Council headquarters on the Sorman coastal road. The Municipal Council has issued a statement expressing its denunciation of the attack and the loss of the police officer affiliated with the Passport Investigation Department.
