Sorman:The Sorman Municipality has expressed grave concerns regarding suspicions of deliberate fires in the Northern Sorman Forest, emphasizing the seriousness of such actions.
According to Libyan News Agency, the municipality has urged all security authorities and relevant bodies to increase their preparedness and take immediate and decisive actions to protect the forest and surrounding areas.
The municipality has also called for an urgent investigation into all fire incidents to uncover the circumstances and identify those responsible. It insists on applying all necessary legal measures against culprits without leniency, in accordance with existing legislation.
Furthermore, the municipality highlighted that damaging the forest deliberately is an attack on the environment and public property, not to be taken lightly. Citizens have been encouraged to report any suspicious activities and cooperate with authorities to ensure the safety of the forest and the community.
