Social Affairs and Oman Explore Collaboration on Elderly Care

Tripoli: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs met with a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, participating in the Arab Conference on Implementing the Arab Strategy for the Elderly, to discuss prospects for strengthening joint cooperation in the social field. According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed opportunities for exchanging expertise and experiences between the two countries in the areas of social protection and programs targeting specific groups. The discussions focused on leveraging successful models in caring for the elderly and the most vulnerable groups, thereby supporting the development and improvement of the efficiency of social services. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation, activating communication channels, and exchanging visits and technical expertise. This initiative aims to enhance joint Arab social work, support the implementation of the Arab Strategy for the Elderly, and contribute to improving the quality of life for this demographic in Arab countries.
