Sisi and US Presidential Advisor Discuss Regional Stability and Libya in Cairo

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, in Cairo on Wednesday. The meeting included Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty, General Intelligence Directorate Chief Major General Hassan Rashad, and officials from the US Embassy in Cairo. According to Libyan News Agency, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shenawy stated that the meeting was focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States. It also aimed to enhance consultations and joint coordination on regional issues of mutual interest. The discussions primarily centered around the situation in Libya, Sudan, and the Horn of Africa, stressing the importance of joint efforts to support regional stability and maintain security. The spokesman highlighted that President al-Sisi showed appreciation for the US administration's efforts to end the conflict in Sudan, affirming Egypt's backing for both regional and international initiatives t argeting security and stability. He reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to Sudan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The meeting also revealed a shared perspective on the necessity of reducing regional tensions and encouraging political solutions to ongoing crises. This approach aims to foster regional peace, uphold the sovereignty of states, and safeguard the resources of their populations.
