Sirte Oil Company Enhances Gas Output at Hatiba Field with New Well Connection

Tripoli: Sirte Oil Company for Production and Manufacturing has successfully increased gas production at the Hatiba field by bringing well S-24 online, adding approximately 5 million cubic feet per day to its output. This development is expected to stabilize gas supplies and maintain targeted production rates for the company's largest gas field. According to Libyan News Agency, the company announced on its Facebook page that the integration of well S-24 into the gas processing plant will meet the needs of the industrial complex and the Libyan Fertilizer Company's plants, while also enhancing the reliability of supplies to vital industrial sectors. Recent improvements in the Hatiba field's gas production rates have been significant, following the connection of wells S-02 and S-28, which raised production from approximately 90 million cubic feet per day to 103 million cubic feet per day. The company highlighted that the well connection was completed using its own resources, through optimal utilization of avai lable materials and equipment, with the participation of various departments, including Production, Field Maintenance, and Petroleum Engineering, as well as Technical, Transportation, and Support. The Chairman of the Board underscored the importance of developing gas system projects and connecting the Hatiba field's production to the Istiqlal field. This strategic move aims to optimize the use of available gas quantities, unify flow through main pipelines, and increase the system's flexibility and capacity, thereby supporting plans to boost production and maximize the benefits from gas resources. Acknowledging the efforts of the employees involved in the drilling, preparation, and connection work, the Chairman praised their efficiency and dedication at the production sites. He also expressed gratitude for the National Oil Corporation's support and commitment to enhancing energy security and increasing production rates.
