Saleh: The achievements in Benghazi will send a message to the world that the wheel of development in Libya has begun in earnest.


Tripoli: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, participated on Saturday evening in the ceremony of opening a number of bridges in the city of Benghazi.

According to the spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Belhaq, Aguila Saleh gave a speech on the occasion in which he stressed that the reconstruction of the city of Benghazi is in the interest of all Libyans, reiterating that these achievements that were launched in the city of Benghazi and soon in the city of Derna and the areas that were exposed to torrents and floods confirm the importance that there is a development renaissance that will have a major impact on improving and managing the means of life and will send a message to the world that the wheel of development in Libya has begun in earnest.

In his speech, the Speaker of the House of Representatives called on Arab and foreign companies to participate in this development renaissance, which indicates that Libya is a country of safety and security.

Saleh also praised t
he Egyptian companies’ accomplishment of their tasks in accordance with international standards, extending his thanks to the people and government of Egypt for its support of the Libyan people, stressing that the House of Representatives supports these projects and stability in Libya, and stands as one to support these tremendous efforts, according to what was published by ‘Belhaq’.

The celebration was attended by a number of members of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister-designate of the House of Representatives, Osama Hammad, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the Chairman of the Reconstruction and Stabilization Committee, and the Executive Director of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Derna and Affected Areas, in addition to a number of civilian, security and military leaders.
