Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam toured the Lebanese Industries Exhibition held at Seaside Arena yesterday evening, accompanied by Minister of Industry Joe Issa Khoury and the head of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, Salim Zaani. PM Salam visited the exhibition pavilions and viewed a wide range of Lebanese products, expressing his admiration for the high level achieved by national industry, both in terms of quality and specifications, and in its adoption of modern technology in production processes.
According to National news agency – Lebanon, in a chat with journalists, Salam emphasized that “the importance of the Lebanese Industries Exhibition is amplified today given the difficult circumstances Lebanon is facing,” noting that the exhibition sends a clear message that Lebanese industry is still thriving despite the challenges. Salam expressed his hope that it will achieve further prosperity with the reopening of traditional markets.
He added: “Undoubtedly, we face many difficulties, but we are striving to open markets for Lebanese industries, especially the Gulf markets,” revealing that Lebanon is close to achieving this goal and expressing his hope that it will be accomplished as soon as possible.
