Saif al-Islam Gaddafi’s Political Team Demands International Investigation Into Killing

Zintan: Saif al-Islam Gaddafi's political team has called for an international investigation following his assassination in Zintan. The political team described the incident as a "treacherous and cowardly" act, revealing that the assassination took place on Tuesday.

According to Libyan News Agency, the political team reported that four individuals stormed Gaddafi's residence, disabled security cameras, and killed him during a direct confrontation. The team has urged the Libyan judiciary, the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to "assume their legal and moral responsibilities" by conducting an "independent and transparent local and international investigation" to uncover the circumstances of the crime and identify those responsible.

The political team also appealed to Saif al-Islam's supporters and the Libyan people to "exercise restraint, wisdom, and patience." It emphasized that the most fitting response to the crime is to remain committed to Gaddafi's national project and steadfast to his principles.
