Sirius: The first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum concluded with the issuance of a joint statement focusing on strengthening cooperation in combating terrorism. The event, held in the Sirius region of the Russian Federation, saw participation from various African nations, including a delegation from Libya led by Taher Al-Baour, who is responsible for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Libya’s Government of National Unity.

According to Libyan News Agency, the conference addressed several critical issues pertinent to both the African continent and Russia. Among the topics discussed were collaborative efforts in the fight against terrorism, as well as advancements in science and technology. In his address, Al-Baour underscored the importance of fostering partnerships that enhance security and stability across Africa. He reiterated Libya’s commitment to supporting international endeavors aimed at combating terrorism and extremism.
