Tripoli: Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (UNSMIL) and UN Resident Coordinator in Libya, Ulrika Richardson, emphasized the importance of enhancing social services in Libya during her meeting with GNU Minister of Social Affairs Wafaa Al-Kilani. Richardson stated, “Improving the lives of Libyans begins with comprehensive social services.”
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions between Richardson and Al-Kilani focused on the significance of social services that improve the lives of Libyan children, women, and men. They reviewed social protection schemes, particularly those targeting persons with disabilities, with an emphasis on facilitating the inclusion of young people in the labor market.
This meeting is part of the ongoing cooperation between UNSMIL and the Ministry of Social Affairs. The collaboration aims to support policies that promote social development and ensure equal opportunities across Libya.
