Tripoli: Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, appointed Dr. Muhammad Ali Al-Ghouj as Undersecretary General of the Ministry of Health on Monday.
According to Libyan News Agency, Dr. Al-Ghouj currently serves as the head of the General Syndicate of Libyan Doctors and leads several key committees. These include the Central Committee for Examining Expatriate Workers, the Committee for Determining Private Clinic Prices, and the Relief and Emergency Committee of the Maghreb Federation of Doctors.
Dr. Al-Ghouj’s extensive experience is highlighted in his CV, which notes his role as a faculty member at the Faculty of Medicine at Zawiya University. He also contributes to the Health Law Amendment Committee, the Board of Directors of the Medical Insurance Authority, and the Supreme Central Technical Security Committee for Monitoring the Health Sector.
In his previous roles, Dr. Al-Ghouj has served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab Doctors Union and chaired the Union’s International Relations Committee. Additionally, he has been the Head of the Emergency and Ambulance Department at Zawiya Teaching Hospital.
