Presidential Council and Prime Minister Discuss Military Developments in Libya.

Tripoli: The Presidential Council, acting as the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, convened a consultative meeting on Sunday afternoon with the Head of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, alongside the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff. The meeting focused on addressing recent developments in the country’s security and military sectors.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, delivered a briefing to the Supreme Commander and the Minister of Defense. The briefing covered the operational status of the military regions and the organizational steps taken to ensure their effective functioning.

The Presidential Media Office stated that the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Supreme Commander, underscored the ongoing efforts to tackle challenges that impede the military institution. The discussions emphasized the importance of stability and the preservation
of Libya’s unity and sovereignty.
