President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today, Tuesday, in Baghdad, the President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Abboud Al-Amiri, and the judges who are members of the court. During the meeting, according to a presidential statement, ways to enhance coordination and joint cooperation between the authorities to enhance the state of stability, preserve the law, and protect rights and freedoms were reviewed. The President of the Republic stressed the necessity of respecting the constitution and adhering to its provisions, referring to the role of the Federal Court in protecting the constitutional system, stating: "The existence of an independent and fortified judiciary is the way to a secure and stable Iraq." For his part, Judge Jassim Al-Amiri stressed: "The Federal Court performs its duties in accordance with the constitution and the law, in a manner that guarantees the interests of the people and the country and enhances national unity," appreciating the support and assistance of the Presidency for its work and legal procedures.
