President Of Presidential Council Discusses In Tobruk Problem Of Electricity Outage In Eastern Regions And Ways To Expedite Stalled Projects.

Tobruk, The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi” met, Sunday, in Tobruk, with officials of the General Electricity Company in the Al-Batnan region to learn about the problem of electricity cuts in the eastern regions and ways to speed up faltering projects. The Pressident briefed, during this meeting, which was attended by officials of the departments of high voltage, distribution, control and protection, the completion rates for the new gas power plant being built in Tobruk with a capacity of (740) megawatts, and contracted with the Greek company Mitka. Al-Minfi directed the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company to support the Electricity Departments in Al-Batnan and address the problems of power outages. Last month, the President of the Presidential Council formed a committee to follow up on the electricity sector in Greater Tobruk, in order to improve service in the region.
