President of Presidential Council, Commander in Chief meets with Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff and military commanders of the Libyan Army

Tripoli-President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Mnefi, and the Deputy President of Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, in their capacity as Commander in Chief of the Libyan Army, met on Monday afternoon with the Head of the Government of National Unity – Minister of Defense Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba, the Chief of the General Staff General Mohammed Al-Haddad and the Chiefs of Staff, members of the Joint Military Committee (5+5) for the Western Region, the Commanders of the Western Military Regions, the Counter-Terrorism, the Presidential Guard Service, the Intelligence, the Military Police and the Chairman of the Operations Committee.

The Presidential Communication Office stated that the meeting, which was held at the Office of the Commander in Chief of the Army, discussed the latest military developments, the course of work of the Joint Military Committee (5+5) and the steps taken to unify the military institution, away from all political tensions, and to follow up on the sustaining of the ceasefire, and maintaining security stability.
