Tobruk, President of Presidency Council Mohamed Al Mnefi has paid tribute to role of oil workers ‘who have diaplayed against all odds their commitment to safeguarding Libya’s basic source of income.’
This came at a meeting Al Mnefi held in Tobruk with the Oil Minister Mohamed Oune, to discuss problems faced by the oil sector, and the activity of the Oil Ministry and the National Oil Corporation and companies affiliated with it.
The President commended the role of the oil sector and personnel particularly in the last years and the efforts they made to increase the output despite the difficult circumstances in which the country is going through.
The Minister of Oil briefed the President on the work of the Oil Ministry and affiliated companies, obstacles to increasing production and upgrading the oil sector in general.
