Preparations Underway for Convening of International Ministerial Conference on the initiative to stabilize Libya, Amid Wide International Participation.

Tripoli, Final touches were being put to preparations for the convening of the international ministerial conference on the initiative to stabilize Libya amid wide international participation, including the United States, Russia, Britain, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sudan, Algeria, Morocco, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Spain, Niger, France, Bahrain, the Netherlands, Kuwait, Greece, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, China, Switzerland, Italy, the Emirates, the African Union, the Arab League, the European Union, and prominent delegations from the majority of international and regional organizations.

The Prime Minister, “Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba stressed, during his meeting with the preparatory committee for the conference that the conference should be up to the required level and give a good impression of Libya.

Dabaiba said, “Our country has been absent from organizing international forums for a while for various reasons, and this is an opportunity to give a brighter picture of the current situation,” calling for the solidarity of all relevant ministries and their cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make this event a success.

For her part, Foreign Minister Naglaa Al-Manqoush indicated that the international conference is being held under patriotic leadership and direction, with the support of the United Nations and brotherly and friendly countries, to support Libyans in moving forward towards the success of the political process, as well as organizing free and transparent elections on December, 24, 2021.

Al-Manqoush said that the vision of the Libya Stability Initiative works on the military, security and economic tracks, as the security and military tracks are the biggest challenge facing Libya today, especially as it progresses towards the general national elections, which requires the support of Libya’s international partners, friends and brothers.
