PM Meets A Number Of Representatives Of The Shabak Component In The Nineveh Plain

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, met today, Saturday, a number of representatives and notables of the Shabak component, in the Nineveh Plain region, during his continuous visit since yesterday to Nineveh Governorate.

Al-Sudani listened, according to a statement by his office, during the meeting, to the audience’s proposals and thoughts regarding a number of files related to the service and economic reality, and directed to follow them up.

He indicated: The government allocates a special place to Nineveh Governorate in general, and to the Nineveh Plain region in particular, as it is a region that includes a unique social fabric that must be invested in strengthening and consolidating national unity, and spreading the values of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence.

Al-Sudani stressed that what all the people of the Nineveh Plain were subjected to during the ISIS gangs’ invasion of the region makes the government’s commitment towards them a patriarchal and moral duty in order to rebuild the region and provide justice to its victims, pointing out: The government is working to establish security and stability in this vital and strategic region, to proceed with projects service and economic services that are in the interest of its citizens, in a way that enhances its social security.
