Benghazi: The Libya Reconstruction Fund has successfully signed 17 memoranda of understanding with Italian companies, focusing on sectors like energy, infrastructure, industrial vehicles, and logistics in Benghazi. The significant signing ceremony witnessed participation from the Italian Ambassador, the Consul General of Italy in Benghazi, and the President of the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Italian companies involved in these agreements are recognized entities within Italy’s industrial domain, including industry leaders such as Iveco and Todini Costruzioni Generali. These agreements are set to cover critical areas, including energy, water treatment, infrastructure, construction, mechanics, design, digitalization, and engineering consulting.

The agency highlighted that this initiative is the inaugural phase of a larger process aimed at evolving into operational contracts. This progression will be managed by the Chamber of Commerce and facilitated by the new headquarters, which is expected to open soon in Benghazi.
