NORTH LEBANON GOVERNOR OVERSEES EVACUATION OF SYRIAN RESIDENTS FROM AL-WAHA COMPLEX IN DEDDEH, KOURA

North Lebanon Governor, Judge Ramzi Nohra, on Monday supervised the evacuation of Syrian residents from Al-Waha complex in Deddeh, Koura.

The dismantling of the adjacent camp was conducted in the presence of MPs Fadi Karam and George Atallah, Colonel Mustafa Hamdan of the North Regional Security Forces, and other concerned officials.

The evacuation, with over 1,500 individuals, and camp dismantling were done with ISF and State Security assistance, based on a decision by the North Governor and Deddeh Municipality.

Nohra emphasized that any illegal Syrian presence in Koura, Batroun, Zgharta, or Tripoli is unacceptable, demanding their return to Syria.

MP Fadi Karam praised the peaceful resolution achieved through respecting the law, highlighting the prompt evacuation of the illegal Syrian residents and the environmental benefits of clearing the area from pollution caused by their presence.

MP George Atallah emphasized the need for unified action beyond politicization to address the displacement issue, affi
rming the successful and peaceful evacuation of over 1,500 illegal Syrian residents from Al-Waha complex.
