NOC and Chevron Explore Expansion of Joint Cooperation

Tripoli: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, met yesterday with a delegation from the American company Chevron to discuss ways to expand joint cooperation, particularly in the areas of exploration, production, and oil field development.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Chevron delegation included Vice President of Business Development Frank Mount, General Manager of Operations Joel Koch, Director of Operations in High-Risk Environments Daniel Heap, and Senior Engineering Manager and Operations Technician Kenneth Davis. The meeting, held at the NOC headquarters, also covered investment opportunities in renewable energy projects and modern technologies across various sectors of the oil industry.

Suleiman emphasized that the NOC is committed to attracting experienced international companies to enhance production efficiency and develop the sector’s infrastructure. He highlighted that the current phase presents a significant opportunity to boost investme
nts and implement strategic projects that will contribute to increased production rates.

Representatives of the company expressed their appreciation for the existing cooperation with the NOC, affirming the company’s desire to expand its operations in Libya. They also expressed a commitment to contribute technical expertise to the development of Libyan oil fields and support training and capacity-building programs for Libyan cadres.

The NOC stated on its official page that this meeting is part of its plan to open new prospects for international partnerships, ensuring the development of the oil sector according to the latest global standards.
