Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said his ministry will work for launching new financial instruments for the local market over the period ahead. The ministry will also focus on facilitated finance from financing institutions, paying special attention to new instruments and markets, Kouchouk added on the margins of a press conference held on Tuesday 6/8/2024 to announce the FY 2023/2024 financial performance results. He said many budget programs will be scaled up to serve the interests of limited- and middle-income citizens, while dealing with internal and external challenges with maximum flexibility. As for inflationary pressures, Kouchouk said the government is following a set of integrated and coherent policies and programs in coordination with the Central Bank of Egypt and all relevant state bodies. In a positive message to the business community, Kouchouk said the comprehensive tax system improvement is the ministry's top priority for the upcoming period, to regain confidence and build effective partne rships.
