National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) authorizes third booster dose of Sinofarm or Pfizer after six months for all medical workers, age groups over 50 years of age.

Tripoli, The National Center for Disease Control has issued a circular to executives of the National Campaign for Coronavirus Vaccination, municipal health service departments and directors of primary health care offices on some points for coronavirus vaccinations.

The circular –called for vaccinating pregnant women with two doses of Pfizer vaccine, with an interval of at least three weeks, and giving one dose of Chinese Sinofarm vaccine as a second dose to those who received Sinofak in less than six months, giving either of the two doses for those who have passed six months or more since being vaccinated with the first dose.

The Centre authorized a third booster dose of the Sinofarm or Pfizer vaccine for all medical personnel, in addition to the over-50 age groups, and patients with chronic diseases

and immunodeficiency regardless of age.

It should be noted that the circular is being issued against the backdrop of the Coronavirus new variant Omicron.
