National Centre for Communicable Diseases Dismiss Case of Malaria in Sebha

Tripoli A source at the National Centre for Communicable Diseases has dismissed reports of detection of a malaria case in Winzereek in Sebha southern Libya. In Televised statements, the source said the Centre's lab, detection points and medical teams at the Sebha Medical Centre have not been informed of any such cases, saying it was surprised by the announcement without verifying the source. Publishing such news has grave negative impact on citizens, the source said, adding that the National Centre of Communicable Diseases has laid down a plan to address such cases once detected or it was informed of by a public or private lab.
