Ministry of Youth and National Council for Economic Development Collaborate on 2026 Strategic Plan

Tripoli: The Ministry of Youth is engaging in discussions with the National Council for Economic and Social Development to activate the 2026 strategic plan. The focus is on fostering youth empowerment and enhancing their involvement in sustainable development initiatives.

According to Libyan News Agency, a meeting was held by the Director of the Youth Empowerment Department at the Ministry with representatives from the Council. They deliberated on activating the strategic plan for 2026, as well as on training and development programs targeting young people in sectors related to sustainable development.

The meeting also included discussions on implementing a training program utilizing a simulation model of the United Nations Economic and Social Council. This initiative aims to prepare young diplomats who can represent Libya effectively in international forums.

Both parties agreed to establish a joint working group. This group will organize roundtables that concentrate on national planning in the youth secto
r and aim to expand youth participation in shaping public policies and future visions.

This collaboration is part of the Ministry of Youth’s strategy to build partnerships with national institutions. The goal is to reinforce the role of youth in the sustainable development process and to encourage their active participation in nation-building.
