Ministry of Health Inspects Vaccination Centers in Tajoura and Abu Salim

Tripoli: The Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity conducted an inspection and supervisory tour today, covering a number of vaccination centers and vaccine storage facilities in the municipalities of Tajoura and Abu Salim, to assess their readiness and monitor the quality of vaccination services provided to citizens.

According to Libyan News Agency, the tour included the Director of the Ministry of Health's Primary Health Care Department, the Director of the Vaccination Department at the National Centre for Disease Control, the Head of the Cold Chain Section within the department, and a representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) - Libya Office, along with a specialized team from the relevant departments and offices.

The tour focused on on-site verification of vaccine storage procedures, the efficiency of the cold-chain system, and compliance with approved standards, ensuring that vaccines remain safe and effective from the time they are received until they are administered to beneficiaries.

The supervisory team emphasized the importance of ongoing field monitoring and reinforcing adherence to approved standards for providing vaccination services and storing vaccines. They also acknowledged the efforts of doctors, medical support staff, and workers at the health centers and vaccination storage facilities in the two municipalities.
