Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity announced its ongoing monitoring of social media discussions regarding the rise in illegal immigration and its impact on security, economy, society, and health. According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry released a statement on its official page, emphasizing its dedication to national principles in addressing illegal immigration, and reiterating its stance against resettlement. The statement highlighted the citizen's right to free expression, as guaranteed by the Interim Constitutional Declaration and current laws, while urging caution against misinformation and rumors that could adversely affect national interests. The Ministry's statement also called for the respect and protection of diplomatic missions and their personnel, advising against actions that could damage Libya's reputation or moral standards. It stressed the importance of peaceful and lawful expression of opinions, warning against any activities that might harm state interests or international relationships. In its concluding remarks, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding Libyan national security, the rights of its citizens, and adherence to international obligations.
