According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry released a statement on its official page, emphasizing its dedication to national principles in addressing illegal immigration, and reiterating its stance against resettlement. The statement highlighted the citizen's right to free expression, as guaranteed by the Interim Constitutional Declaration and current laws, while urging caution against misinformation and rumors that could adversely affect national interests.
